Getting Out of Your Head | New Web Design

The start of 2021 has been amazing personally. I ended the 2020 holidays healthy with family and some very close friends. I got introduced to a bunch of new projects I just finished, and in all the conversations I have been having with my close ones, this recurrent topic kept coming up. Getting out of your head and actually doing your purpose. This whole past year being alone in the home, being secluded from the world, just opened my eyes to how deep in my own head I have been for the last 2-3 years. For what? being real, it’s because of what others thought of me and of my decision to change my path completely compared to who I was in college. But honestly at the end of the day who even cares. We have one life and we gotta live for our calling. Russ’ book “it’s all in your head” really helped me see my how I can focus my energy on just being happy with the work I make and basically stop doubting myself. Shoutout to my client and friend Cory Blaze for putting me onto that book.

That’s partially why I redesigned this website. I was tired of not doing things that help my creative juices flow. I co-own a wonderful wedding media business with my girlfriend Leia and we’ve been grinding all of 2020 to just create an elegant wedding media brand and I finally feel like we’ve found our path. Now that that piece of my creative work was somewhat complete, I wanted to take that same energy we had been doing to create MADLOVEMEDIA and try this new design. I might hate it in a year and change it again but that’s fine. One thing Leia and I learned last year was that we are our own roadblocks for the path we see in the future. If we wanted to not be picky and keep shooting weddings that didn’t fit our style so be it. But we changed and honestly it was the best decision we’ve made.

Changing, growing, and adapting are all things I want to improve on this year. Never did I think I would start a blog but here we are.
